what generation are u??

we usually hear ppl talking about baby boomers, generation Y or easily Gen-Y, the lost generation and all, but have u ever stopped for awhile and think??what is this generation-thingy ppl keep on talking about?izit some type of generalization for kids born on a certain era or decade or izit just character interpretation??

in this text,generation merely refers to all the people living at the same time or of approximately the same age..just like me and most of my classmates...and the classification of ppl into generations usually refers to the year they were born and a somewhat nearly true character interpretation..

well, easily said, there's 4 major generation (presently "alive" except for the Great Depression children that was too young when it was WW2)..yeah,it is basically based on the western depiction of children born before and after the war, and later on after after the war..

no. 1!!the Baby BOOMERS~

this is the generation post world war 2..born usually in 1945 to 1964 (our parents!)..a time of peace and prosperity and low-risks in starting up families..and then BOOM!!!babies kept on popping out!!lol!just kidding, but it is however true..the birth rate is the highest than previous generations...as for their character, they are the ideal worker employers are looking right now (mostly because most employers are baby boomers)..y u say?because they live to work!highly dedicated and motivated towards their works..i TOTALLY see it in my mom (a workaholic teacher)..

no. 2!!!generation X~

born between 1965 to 1980...it is where the birth rate beginning to slow down, a mark for the end of baby boomers..differs from the previous gen, they live more carefree, where they most likely work to live and not live to work..also referred as the ignored generation..lol!

no. 3!!!Generation Y~~

born in the 80's (that's me) till early 90's and is the coolest generation ever!!!!also known as the Millennials or Echo Boomers or (my favorite) Harry Potter Generation!!(aren't we the coolest)!!known as echo boomers because the birth rate rises significantly and are usually the children of the Baby Boomers..it also indicates that it resembles the baby boomers in birth rate but slightly lower since it's just the echoo..echo..echo..also known as the Peter Pan generation since most of the Gen Y-ers tends to live and depend on their parents longerrrr...(well,we just love our family, ain't it Y-ers)..influenced heavily by peer-to-peer file sharing such as Napster, as well as pop cultures such as singers (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera), cartoons (the simpsons, the mighty morphin power rangers, sailormoon, ninja turtles) and mostly the literatures (harry potters and Lord of the Rings)...we are the COOL generation..LOL!

no. 4!!!gen Z~

if u can't see, the little boy was saying "Uncle, bring me an iphone next time, not a toy mobile like this"..(--") right?!

or also known as the internet generation, where they had a lifelong use of communication and media technologies such as instant messaging, mobile phones, MP3 players and Youtube, earning them the nickname of digital natives..influenced heavily on social networking such as Friendsters and Facebooks..they are the twilight eras, where vampires and werewolves exists..lol~and also looks up to guys with make-ups on...#kpopfever

the next generation will be the Alpha generation, where it will mostly consists of children from the gen-y, younger gen-X and older gen-Z..

so tell me, what generation are u?
