Achilles' heel~

in ancient greek mythology, there was a boy, named Achilles, that was born to a Nymph (a minor nature goddess) mother, named Thetis and a king father, named Peleus...Thetis was sooo beautiful that even Zeus (Father of the Gods) and Poseidon (God of the sea) fancies her..but due to the warning of Prometheus (the fore-thinker) that Thetis would bear a son that will be greater than it's father, both god withdrew as it would be troublesome to be less powerful from own's son..

as Achilles was born, it was once again foretold that Achilles would die in a battle form an arrow in the foot..and to take matters in one's own hand, Thetis took Achilles to the River Styx (a river that formed the boundary between the Earth and the underworld)that was supposed to offer powers of immortality and dipped his whole body into the water...

little did she know that the area of her forefinger and thumb on his heel was untouched by the river water and makes it mortal or vulnerable, unlike his other parts of the body..

As Achilles grew up to be a great Trojan soldier who survived many battles, one day, a poisonous arrow was shot right into his heel, killing him shortly afterwards..

in modern days use, Archilles' heel is used to refer to any weak point, be it humans, animals or robots...similar to superman's kryptonite...doesn't really matter if u'r a hotshot super human, there's gotta be a kryptonite for each and every one of us aight??!

so, what's ur Achilles heel???
mine?if i tell u, then i'll have to kill u...

moral of the story??
for future Thetis, dip twice or thrice just to be save next time..lol!
