This post is literally about sweats. Don't tell me i didn't warn you~~
Hello peeps! Comme on ca va? Bien? Tres bien? Ma ma hu hu??
Anyhoo, today i would like to write about a condition of mine that is called hyperhidrosis. Hyper means excess and hidrosis is sweating, and overall means excessive sweating. Among my siblings, only me and my big bro unfortunately has this condition.
Le science talk;
Sweats are actually good for our body. It basically regulates our body temperature. How u ask? Well, sweat actually works to eliminate the heat inside of our body. In order to remove the heat, water and salt (sweat) is secreted outside our body so that it can evaporate. The mechanism of evaporation works due to the escape of the faster moving molecules on the surface (in this case, the skin), thus leaving the lower kinetic energy molecules on it and gradually decreases the temperature.
Having hyperhidrosis is actually not a terminal condition, however, it does give you lemons sometimes. One of my most embarrassing moments was when i was still in my first year of Bsc. Commonly in 1st years, we don't own cars/motorcycles and our friends also don't own any. Therefore, tumpang-menumpang is out of the question la. I don't know about other Universities, but our buses here, unless it is jam-packed as sardines in a sardine tin, it won't jalan. Therefore, my earlier days in Uni mostly focuses on how to tolak menolak apabila menaiki bas. Itu pun belum masuk kalo ketinggalan bas la.
Anyhoo, back to the story. Soooo, one day, I was on my way balik from a language class all by myself. After tolak menolak in front of the pintu bus alone, in which i nasib2 sja dapat masuk the bus since i don't have my usual gang with me (that includes some potential body-builders), i didn't get a seat. The day was hot and my hands and legs are all sweaty like nobody's business! And after holding on to dear life to a pole nearby, my hands nearly cannot grasp the pole but i manage to somehow. But not until the simpang to my college residence.
The simpang was tajam and the bus driver was laju! And, well, you get the picture. Luckily, the seat of the person who I terjatuh on was a girl's, and she helped me bangun. After that day, i didn't wear the baju kurung and sandal that I wore that day lagi. EVER!
And today, while i was surfing the web, i accidentally had the urge to google about this condition and read a yahoo answers! about a girl asking how to cure it. There's a lot of way to get rid of it or improve the condition. However it mostly involves a lot of money and a lot of pain. And some had to be done repeatedly!
However, i also did manage to get a good answer. A lady stated that by using anti-perspirant, it works as a water retainer in cells that will stop nearly all of the sweating. She also recommended a brand, in which obviously tiada di Malaysia ini. *sigh*
Hoping for a better luck in e-bay lah nampaknya ini. Wish me luck guys!
