as i was watching csi miami season 7 just now,

i stumbled upon a psychological terms that caught my eye...

=THE STOCKHOLM SYNDROME=

this is a syndrome that occurs only to kidnapping or abduction victims, where after a while, the victim starts to develop SYMPATHY towards the abductor...

it usually occurs after the abductor start showing "kindness" towards the victim...

note on the (" "), because as it is a psychological problem, it involves the misinterpreting of the victim regarding the showing of kindness of the abductor, where the showing of kindness refers to the abductor not hitting, torturing the abductee in every form whatsoever..

in simple words,

hitting = bad

not hitting = kind

in real life situation, there are some pretty weird things that the abductees all around history had done....

some stood up for them, defending the abductors from given harsh sentences...that consequently resulting into compromising HER mental and physical health that ended with HER committing suicide...

some followed in the footstep of of HER captor and participates in the robbery orchestrated...

some even had HIS (captor) children!!!!!

TWO in fact, both girl...

i know!!

OMG rite!?

but there's also an ironic surprise...

in fact, there's also an inverse syndrome!!!!!!

*SURPRISE*

for this syndrome, it's the captor who develops sympathy for the abductee...

it is called the Lima syndrome, where it was named on the incident of an abduction from the Japanese embassy in Lima, Peru...

in this incident, the captor invited the victims to a party and let them go the next day...

personally for me, i think this is the conscience kicking in...

as for the stockholm syndrome, no reasonable explanation..
